Choroi Mallet Wood

Different mallet are used depending on the instrument and desired sound. Felt is for aluminum and low pitched wood to produce the softest tone. Soft rubber for aluminum and low pitched wood to produce a slightly stronger tone than with a felt mallet.

Hard rubber for brass and high pitched wood produces a slightly stronger tone than leather. Leather for brass and high pitched wood produces a slightly milder tone than hard rubber. Wood for brass and high pitched wood produces a succinct, strong tone.
